Job summary

smcexternalcareers is seeking a Grounds Technician to maintain cleanliness and safety of the community's interior and exterior areas. In this full-time role you will perform trash removal, landscaping support, snow removal as needed, minor repairs, and assist the maintenance team to keep residents' environment welcoming.

You will be responsible for inventory of cleaning supplies, daily grounds audits, and supporting apartment turnover.

Qualifications

• Written communication ability for reporting and instruction following.
• Ability to understand and follow directions from supervisor.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community common areas per quality standards.
• Ensure sidewalks, parking areas and building interiors are free of trash and debris.
• Perform daily audits of the grounds and report findings to management.
• Assist with apartment turnover as needed.
• Test smoke detectors in vacant apartments.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and residents.
• Participate in community engagement efforts and other duties as assigned.
