The City of Pasadena, TX, seeks a Property and Evidence Inventory Technician to manage intake, storage and disposal of property and evidence. You will log items, ensure proper packaging and forms, and prepare evidence for transport to the laboratory, returning items after analysis.

You will also determine release or disposal of property, create court disposal letters, and generate statistical reports. A high school diploma, Texas driver’s license, and timely certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas driver's license on hire.
• Must obtain certification through the Texas Association of Property and Evidence Inventory Technician within one year.
• Must obtain certification through the International Association of Property and Evidence Technician within three years.
• Preferred: NIMS (IS-700, 800, 100, 200, 300, and 400) training.

Responsabilités

• Receive property from secure storage lockers and check packaging and submission forms.
• Log conforming property and evidence into the property room.
• Prepare evidence for transport and submission to the laboratory.
• Intake evidence returned from the laboratory and determine release or disposal.
• Create disposal letters for the courts and release property to owners.
• Create statistical data reports on property and evidence upon request.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
