Job summary

North Point Hospitality Group is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician at the DoubleTree by Hilton Savannah Historic District to keep the property safe, functional, and welcoming for guests.

You will perform routine repairs, maintenance, and preventive tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work, while delivering outstanding guest service and responding promptly to issues with a gracious host mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in general repair (carpentry, painting, plumbing) preferred.
• Pool certification is a plus.
• Positive attitude and guest-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the property.
• Follow maintenance checklists and perform basic repairs.
• Repair grout/caulking, tighten fixtures, and handle minor plumbing/electrical tasks.
• Paint and touch up walls as needed.
• Engage with guests professionally and report issues promptly.
• Meet quality assurance standards.

What you’ll do (mostly this...other duties may be assigned):

• Help create an outstanding guest experience by keeping the property safe, functional, and well-maintained
• Follow guest room preventive maintenance checklists
• Complete room maintenance and ensure spaces are left clean, safe, and free of debrisPerform basic repairs including:
• Grout and caulking repairs
• Tightening loose fixtures and toilet seats
• Minor plumbing and electrical repairs
• Painting and wall touch-ups
• Interact with guests and respond to maintenance needs promptly and professionally
• Immediately report safety concerns or significant maintenance issues to management
• Meet all quality assurance standards and expectations

What we’re looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in general repair such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and maintaining mechanical equipment
• Pool certification is a plus
• A can-do attitude and passion for guest service
• Ability to anticipate guest needs and respond in a friendly, helpful way
