Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. in Sandy Springs, GA, seeks a Property & Energy Claims Advocate to provide claims advocacy and risk services in collaboration with the Senior Managing Director and Placement Team.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Business or Risk Management and 8–10 years of related insurance experience, plus state broker licenses. You will build client relationships, guide claims through carriers and help manage cash flow with early or partial payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Risk Management; 8–10 years insurance experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain the appropriate state brokers licenses.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in reporting claims to carriers and documents the claim.
• Advise on emergency services and restoration/claim preparation resources.
• Advocate for early payments and ongoing partial payments to assist client cash flow.
• Coordinate with adjustment team to pursue timely and fair settlements.
• Develop service plans for claims handling and assist with new business development.
