Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 2 years in claims investigations.
• 4 years in claims investigation or related area.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Certified Insurance Claims Investigator (CICI)
• Experience with bodily injury, property damage, and insurance claims and litigation.
• Utility industry experience
• Knowledge of casualty claims adjustment
• Knowledge of claims management, investigations, settlements
• Knowledge of tort and contract law
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to interact with multiple levels of management and unions
• Strong client investigation and resolution skills
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Strong business and technical composition skills
• Strong oral communication and presentation skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and information systems

Responsibilities

• Investigate, negotiate, and settle third party property damage.
• Investigate and report on incidents that may potentially lead to litigation and reviews tender cases involving contractors and insurance carriers.
• Conduct interviews with employees and third parties to investigate claims and incidents.
• Conduct claims data analysis for trending and lessons learned; presents findings to business partners.
• Review internal PG&E and external records, files and documents regarding incident investigations, liability and damage evaluation, and claims negotiation and settlements.
