Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED with post-secondary training in landbase records systems or real estate processes and procedures, or two years of experience in the preparation and/or processing of title, mortgage, property tax mapping, or other documents required for the conveyance of real property and/or the administration of property taxes.

Responsibilities

• Process, code, and record data from property-related documents (land contracts, mortgages, liens, tax maps, plats).
• Prepare official copies, index and store records, and retrieve documents as needed.
• Ensure records comply with the Michigan Constitution, Land Division Act, MGPTA, UCC, and MCL.
• Provide guidance and support to other clerical staff in processing of property conveyance documents.
