The ideal candidate has 3+ years at the Property Controller level in CRE, strong Yardi Voyager and advanced Excel skills, and a track record mentoring accounting staff. Salary ranges from $130,000 to $160,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years operating at the Property Controller level within commercial real estate accounting.
• Yardi Voyager experience is required.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Proven experience supervising and mentoring accounting staff.
• Strong analytical and problem solving to read and interpret financial statements.
• Excellent communication with ownership, investors, leadership, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly closings and financial package preparation.
• Lead year-end audits with outside CPA firms and prepare journal entries and workpapers per GAAP and debt covenants.
• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations (G/L, A/R, A/P, AJEs) and review bank reconciliations.
• Oversee treasury functions including cash management and forecasting.
• Manage debt activities such as loan draws, debt service, lender reporting, and covenant compliance.
• Review/leverage commercial leases, tenant billing, CAM/real estate tax escalations, TI reimbursements, and deposits.
• Assist with annual and reforecast operating budgets and real estate tax certiorari filings (TC201 & RPIE).
• Communicate effectively with ownership, investors, leadership, and staff.
