Skagit Valley Casino Resort seeks an experienced Assistant Property Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting across income control, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets and financial accounting. The role emphasizes internal controls, GAAP, NIGC compliance, and collaboration with auditors.

The position requires strong leadership, detail orientation, and proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office. Located in Bow, WA, it offers complex, fast-paced casino finance operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• BA in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum five years accounting experience including GL, AP, AR, purchasing, fixed assets, and financial analysis with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve general ledger journal entries for GAAP compliance.
• Plan and monitor revenue audit accounting, controls, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Ensure internal controls compliance across departments and regulations.
• Manage timely tax and license submissions and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare and analyze daily financial paperwork and reports; suggest efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with Director of Finance and Property Controller with auditors.
• Prepare monthly F&B reports.
• Supervise daily payroll and lead accounting team coverage.
