Treasure Island Hotel Casino in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting functions, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive accurate financial reporting.
You will manage budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, supervise staff, and coordinate with external auditors while maintaining confidentiality and upholding internal controls.
Assist in overseeing all accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset and Bank Reconciliation
Supervise in preparation and review of monthly, quarter and yearly financial statements
Coordinatemonth-end and year-end closing processesto ensure timely and accurate reporting
Maintaininternal controlsand ensure compliance with accounting policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
Supportbudgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insights for strategic decision-making
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including workload allocation, performance feedback, and professional development
Serve as a liaison withexternal auditors, preparing schedules and documentation for audits
Provide technical support for accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases, ensuring accurate data management
Assist with billing, tax & licenses documentation preparation
Assume duties of Controller in their absence
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Perform any duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Master’s degree or Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license preferred
At least two years management or supervisory experience required
Knowledge of account reconciliations a must
Strong analytical abilities necessary
Be flexible and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Must have, or be able to obtain, Gaming Registration
Professional appearance and demeanor a must
