Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a detail‑oriented Paralegal for Property Management/Compliance to support the legal department.

You will assist with disputes, licensing compliance, contracts, and litigation workflows, preparing drafts, letters, summaries, and maintaining files with discretion. You will coordinate with internal teams and external counsel, gather information from multiple sources, perform data compilation for discovery, and provide notary services as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of law firm paralegal or comparable experience required.
• Experience drafting correspondence and proofreading.
• Experience in litigation, landlord/tenant, real estate licensing compliance, property and community management, and HOAs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the legal department in disputes, administrative proceedings, and litigation related to property management, tenant and vendor disputes.
• Assists with and maintains tracking sheets, organizes information and documents, and assists with projects.
• Drafts preliminary summaries, documents, and correspondence for review.
• Compiles data for discovery and investigations and provides notary services as needed.
• Communicates with tenants, vendors, outside counsel, and government agencies.
