Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is hiring at Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR for a part-time warehouse assistant. You will help with warehousing operations, ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining inventory to ensure prompt service to center operations.

The role emphasizes safety, data entry for receipts and issues, and meeting government and management directives. A high school diploma, one year warehouse experience, forklift certification, and a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year warehouse or property experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of work with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with warehousing operations including ordering and receiving supplies, tools and replacement items; establish procedures for verification of incoming/outgoing shipments and maintenance of inventory.
• Maintain appearance and daily housekeeping of the warehouse and property storage areas; keep work area safe and clean at all times.
• Ensure the warehouse is open in accordance with posted hours.
• Input data for receipt and issue records to finance; report monthly inventory usage to supervisor.

Education

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for assisting in property control functions and records retention in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions

• Assist with warehousing operations including ordering and receiving supplies, tools and replacement items; establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and maintenance of inventory; maintain the daily workflow to ensure prompt service to center operating organizations.
• Responsible for the appearance and every day housekeeping of the warehouse and other property storage areas, ensure working area is safe and clean at all times.
• Ensure the warehouse is open in accordance with hors posted.
• Input data for receipt and issue records to finance, report monthly inventory usage to supervisor.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of warehouse or property experience is preferred.
• Forklift certification and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of work with an acceptable driving record required.
