Job summary

Jobtailor in New York, NY is seeking a proactive Risk Management Assistant to investigate, settle, and/or deny personal property claims, and to maintain certificates of insurance for vendors and contractors. You will monitor property damage repairs and ensure timely completion.

You will handle accounting and payment procedures for repairs, maintain accurate files on incidents and injuries, track litigation status, and collaborate with Risk Managers, Corporate Counsel, and Human Resources on

Qualifications

• A four-year degree or 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies and their functions is a plus.
• Experience with claims management is highly preferred.
• An eye for detail.
• Solid organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, settle, and/or deny personal property claims
• Maintain and update certificates of insurance for vendors, contractors, and others
• Monitor property damage repairs and ensure timely completion
• Handle accounting and payment procedures for property damage repairs
• Maintain accurate files for property damage, incident reports, and injuries
• Track litigation status and notify relevant parties as needed
• Collaborate with Risk Managers, Corporate Counsel, and Human Resources on claims, incidents, and employee injuries
• Assist with various tasks as needed to support the Risk Management team
