Job summary

Erie Insurance seeks a Property Adjuster Trainee to join a national program. The position supports remote, work-from-home operations based in Charlotte, NC, with field experiences and training at the Technical Learning Center.

The trainee path leads to Property Adjuster roles, with potential progression and mentorship. The program starts tentatively 1/4/2027 and includes classroom and hands-on training, along with eventual claims handling in designated territories and support from mentors and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of claims handling experience, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Willingness to pursue and complete Technical Learning Center Training.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain any required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Contacts policyholders regarding property claims within level of authority. Conducts investigations, interviews insureds and witnesses, inspects damage and prepares estimates.
• Evaluates coverage and total value of claim; determines payments and issues checks or declines payment.
• Documents claim files and submits final report for closure.
• Serves assigned territory and brings assigned claims to conclusion.
• Interacts with Agents and district sales managers on matters of mutual concern.
• Attends industry-related training programs and completes required trainings.
