Job summary

Western Mutual Insurance Group seeks an experienced Property Claim Supervisor to lead and develop a team of adjusters in our San Antonio office. The ideal candidate will guide complex claim handling, including water damage triage, and ensure adherence to procedures and regulations.

Candidates should have 5+ years in property claims, 3+ years in a supervisorial role, and experience with automated claim systems. English/Spanish bilingual is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience adjusting property insurance claims.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisorial experience.
• Experience with automated claim systems.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of adjusters; guide case handling and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Oversee triage of water damage claims to mitigate exposure and prioritize responses.
• Review adjuster and vendor estimates; correct as needed and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company claim handling procedures and insurance regulations.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Property Claim Supervisor.

Candidate must have excellent leadership and supervisorial skills with the ability to guide and develop a team of adjusters. The candidate must possess excellent writing skills. Must understand and comply with company claim handling procedures as well as applicable department of insurance regulations; and must ensure that direct reports do the same. Will be responsible for effectively handling escalated problem files. The candidate should be able to oversee the triage of all water damage claims to determine which claims need an immediate response to mitigate the company’s exposure. Candidate should be able to review adjuster and vendor estimates and make corrections where appropriate.

Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience adjusting property insurance claims and experience with automated claim systems and a minimum of 3 years of supervisorial experience.

Experience with the Xactimate estimating program is preferred.

Experience handling first party litigated claims.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

They will be required to work in the San Antonio office.

Bilingual - English/Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
