Job summary

Brixmor Property Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accounting operations for its property assets. You will provide timely, accurate financial information and participate in internal reporting to optimize returns for investors.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance (or closely related field).
• Strong spreadsheet and data-analysis skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to see the big picture.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accounting for multiple centers, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and recovery calculations.
• Compile monthly management reports with commentary for owners and executives.
• Prepare Net Operating Income worksheets and recovery reconciliation work papers.
• Calculate annual escrow increases and budget recovery expenses per sq ft.
• Support annual budgeting and variance reporting processes.
• Forecast property income/expenses and ensure accuracy of year-to-date figures.
• Ensure compliance with management agreements and retailer leases.
• Coordinate tenant audits and liaise with the Collections Team.
