Job summary

Atlantic Group in Boston, MA seeks an experienced accounting leader to oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for a portfolio of assets. You will review complex workpapers, manage GAAP compliance, and enforce internal controls while guiding a team of property accountants.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting (CPA preferred) with 6+ years of progressive experience and at least 2 years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required or equivalent
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years in a supervisory role
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls
• Proficiency with Excel; Yardi & MRI experience a plus
• Excellent communication and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and reporting for a real estate portfolio
• Review and approve financial workpapers, bank reconciliations, budgets, and GAAP work papers
• Enforce internal control policies and ensure compliance
• Identify and address procedural deficiencies and implement corrective actions
• Support budgeting process and monthly reporting to senior management
• Oversee day-to-day operations of a team of accountants and provide backup support as needed
