Job summary

RENOSY by Renters Warehouse in Minneapolis is seeking a Property Accounting Manager to lead a multi-site team responsible for rent deposits, cash disbursements, and owner payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will coach staff, develop processes, collaborate with IT for system improvements, and maintain high-level client service while managing banking, ACH, and month-end activities.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in property accounting and 3+ years leading accounting teams.
• Experience in banking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Property Accounting team responsible for daily rent deposits and cash disbursements.
• Be visible and available to all teams and coach/onboard new members.
• Assign and monitor daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
• Respond to owner concerns regarding accounting; provide phone and email support.
• Handle escalated calls from clients to provide de-escalation and resolution.
• Work in cloud-based management software performing accounting tasks.
• Oversee ACH payments and update account information.
• Review leasing/end of term and management end transactions.
• Manage bank transfers between trust accounts and review payables/payments.
• Assist IT with accounting needs and system improvements.
• Aid in year-end accounting and tax document prep.
• Engage in special projects and deliver 5-star client service.
