Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Property Accountant to serve as the financial liaison between tenants and the Company’s accounting teams. The role focuses on tenant ledgers, A/R, CAM reconciliations, and timely communication of rent and charges.

The ideal candidate will balance strong accounting standards with lease analysis skills and excellent interpersonal abilities to resolve disputes and ensure accurate cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• 3+ years in property management finance, property accounting, or commercial A/R preferred.
• Experience with CAM/Tax/Insurance reconciliations and lease abstracts preferred.
• Proficiency in Unifier, CoStar or Oracle and advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tenant ledgers, post payments, and manage A/R collections.
• Prepare CAM, real estate tax, and insurance reconciliations.
• Estimate and adjust monthly CAM and operating expenses for tenants.
• Review lease agreements and determine tenant pro-rata shares and charges.
• Assist with month-end close and delinquency reports.
• Communicate complex charges clearly to tenants and internal teams.
