Job summary

Hirewell client, an established commercial real estate firm, is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to oversee accounting for a portfolio of retail properties, including CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, AP/AR, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate understands NNN and gross lease structures, operating expense allocations, and tenant reimbursements.

Qualifications

5+ years of property accounting experience in commercial retail real estate.
Hands-on CAM reconciliations experience required.
Knowledge of NNN and gross lease structures; revenue recognition.
Experience with tenant billings and operating expense recoveries.
Proficient with QuickBooks and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage CAM reconciliations, allocations, recoveries, and billing adjustments.
Review lease agreements for accurate accounting of NNN and gross provisions.
Manage AP/AR, including invoice processing and tenant payments.
Prepare monthly financial statements and GL reconciliations.
Monitor rental income, operating expenses, and outstanding receivables.
Maintain tenant charge records and reimbursements.
Assist with month-end and year-end close.
Collaborate with property management to resolve inquiries and reporting needs.
Support budgeting and expense tracking for the portfolio.
Ensure accounting records are accurate and compliant with policies.
