Job summary

The Hudson Companies in the United States is seeking a full-time property accountant to join our expanding team. You will oversee accounting for a portfolio of properties, from transactions to monthly report packages, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has GAAP knowledge, experience in property accounting, and the ability to collaborate with property managers and the accounts payable team to support budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Capable of using property management software such as RealPage or equivalent.
• Experience in property accounting or a related field with GAAP knowledge.
• Able to manage multiple property accounts with timely reporting.
• Proven collaboration with property managers and AP teams.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• GAAP knowledge is preferred.
• Accounting or finance degree required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for your assigned portfolio of properties.
• Prepare and issue monthly financial report packages for each property.
• Collaborate with property managers to align financial data with operations.
• Collaborate with accounts payable to ensure timely payments and contract compliance.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of financial data.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting with historical data and trends.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Complete other accounting tasks as needed.
