Atrium is seeking a Property Accountant with strong Yardi experience to join our team in New Jersey. You will handle all aspects of accounting and reporting for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and timely close.

The role requires 2+ years in public accounting, proficiency in Excel, and MRI experience. You will interact with Operations, Finance, and auditors, supporting audits and improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years in public accounting.
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables & VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Analyze the general ledger, calculate accruals, and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Provide monthly P&L commentary and variance analysis.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Manage relationships with Operations, Finance, auditors.
• Participate in projects to improve close process efficiency.
• Utilize Yardi to run monthly reports and close properties.
• Record monthly accrual entries.
• Review and reconcile the general ledger.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$110k - $115k

Position Overview

The Property Accountant will handle all aspects of accounting and reporting for assigned properties.

Responsibilities Of The Property Accountant

• Analyze the general ledger, calculate accruals, and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Provide monthly P&L commentary and variance analysis.

• Manage relationships and liaise with external customers, including Operations and Finance teams and auditors.
• Participate in projects to improve close process efficiency and effectiveness.
• Utilize Yardi to run monthly reports and close properties.

Required Experience/Skills For The Property Accountant

• 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience with MRI.
• Implementation experience is a major plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
