Ideal candidates will have expertise in property accounting, Yardi, GAAP, and advanced Excel, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and with property managers and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with focus on property management or real estate.
• Strong experience with Yardi property management/accounting software.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and property accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including rent rolls and collections.
• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
• Assist with tenant billings.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
• Support audits and work with external auditors as needed.
• Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational alignment.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Property Management Accountant to join a growing and professional real estate organization based in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong property accounting experience, experience with Yardi, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with property managers and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
