Job summary

CFS is seeking a Property Accountant to manage financial reporting and accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties, including office, retail, mixed-use and hospitality assets within a third-party ownership portfolio. This is a highly collaborative role reporting to the Assistant Controller, with strong visibility across property management, ownership and internal leadership.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in the real estate industry.
• Experience with commercial, mixed-use or residential property accounting; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly financial statements for assigned properties.
• Perform general ledger analysis, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Ensure financials are accurate and ready for distribution to ownership groups.
