Job summary

CFS in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a Commercial Retail Property Accountant to join our finance team onsite with hybrid flexibility. You’ll review, process, and post Accounts Payable invoices and manage month-end close for multiple entities, including GL, financial statements, and balance sheet schedules.

Ideal candidates have strong accounting fundamentals, advanced Excel skills, and experience in property accounting.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and stay detail-oriented.
• Property accounting experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Yardi software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and post Accounts Payable invoices.
• Manage month-end close for multiple entities, including general ledger, financial statements, and balance sheet support schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare/post journal entries.
• Record accruals and conduct detailed balance sheet reviews.
• Analyze monthly results by comparing actuals to budget and explaining variances and trends.
• Complete CAM reconciliations.
