Atrium Staffing is assisting a client in Paramus, NJ, to hire a Property Accountant with strong Yardi experience. The role covers all accounting and reporting for assigned properties, including GL analysis, accruals, reconciliations, and monthly P&L commentary.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in public accounting, MRI and Yardi proficiency, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience with MRI.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong Yardi experience is preferred.

A commercial real estate company is seeking a Property Accountant with strong Yardi experience to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$110k - $115k

Position Overview:

The Property Accountant will handle all aspects of accounting and reporting for assigned properties.

Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:

• Analyze the general ledger, calculate accruals, and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Provide monthly P&L commentary and variance analysis.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Manage relationships and liaise with external customers, including Operations and Finance teams and auditors.
• Participate in projects to improve close process efficiency and effectiveness.
• Utilize Yardi to run monthly reports and close properties.
• Record monthly accrual entries.
• Review and reconcile the general ledger.

Required Experience/Skills for the Property Accountant:

• 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience with MRI.
• Implementation experience is a major plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Property Accountant:

• Implementation experience.
