Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced Property Accountant in California to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have strong property accounting experience and hold an active Real Estate License.

Responsibilities include full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, month-end close, financial reporting, and collaboration with property management to ensure precise financials.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-cycle property accounting.
• Ability to reconcile property-related accounts and budgets.
• Strong understanding of CAM charges and property financials.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for a portfolio of properties.
• Perform full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and variance analysis.
• Complete month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, GL accounts, and property-related accounts.
• Review and maintain property budgets and financial records.
• Track income, expenses, CAM charges, and other property-related transactions.
• Collaborate with property management and internal teams for accurate reporting.
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
