Job summary

Superior Plus Propane, Inc. is seeking a Propane Specialist to ensure safe and timely delivery of propane to customers. You will load, unload, and deliver propane while delivering excellent service and upholding safety standards.

You will perform regular vehicle inspections and engage with customers to address needs. You will work with dispatch to plan routes, complete delivery tickets, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• CDL class A or B license with tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred.
• DHL/safety certifications and DOT medical certification kept current.
• Clean driving record and legal authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load, and unload propane to customers by truck, tank, or cylinder.
• Ensure safety practices and conduct pre/post vehicle inspections.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; report issues promptly.
• Provide propane tank installations and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and accurate delivery tickets; complete driver reports.

Job description

The Propane Specialist is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Specialist will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Propane Specialist are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

Whatyou’lldo:

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers (bulktruck, tanks, and/or cylinders) for customers. Initiate and conduct the asset verification process. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.

• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tanklevelsand container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete andsubmitdaily driver reports where necessary.

• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable, document pre and post vehicle inspections, siteinspectionsand visual tank inspections.

• Collaborate with the Dispatcherfrequentlyfor routing and scheduling information. Notify the Dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issuesimmediatelyto obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.

• Provide Propane tank installationsin a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all state/local codes and safety policies.Identifyand correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection. Respond to customer emergencies as needed. Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations. Perform tank maintenance on spare tanks in preparationofinstallation.

• Perform other job duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of one (1) year job related (Propane) experience preferred

• CDL Class A or B

• Tanker & Hazmat endorsements preferred

• Clean drivers abstract

• Up-to-date DOT medical certification

• Willingness to rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed.
