Job summary

Superior Plus Propane, Inc. is seeking a Propane Specialist in the United States to safely deliver propane, load/unload, and provide excellent customer service.

You will uphold safety standards, inspect vehicles, and assist with tank installations at customer sites. The role requires CDL A/B, tanker and hazmat endorsements (preferred), a current DOT medical card, and willingness to rotate on-call shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL Class A or B with tanker and hazmat endorsements is preferred.
• DOT medical certificate is required or up-to-date.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
• Willingness to rotate on-call status during evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Use technology to track inventory, print delivery tickets and complete driver reports.
• Maintain safety standards, perform pre/post inspections and site checks.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing, schedules and safety guidance.
• Provide propane tank installations and respond to customer emergencies as needed.

The Propane Specialist is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Specialist will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Propane Specialist are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

Whatyou’lldo:

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers (bulktruck, tanks, and/or cylinders) for customers. Initiate and conduct the asset verification process. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tanklevelsand container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete andsubmitdaily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable, document pre and post vehicle inspections, siteinspectionsand visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcherfrequentlyfor routing and scheduling information. Notify the Dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issuesimmediatelyto obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Provide Propane tank installationsin a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all state/local codes and safety policies.Identifyand correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection. Respond to customer emergencies as needed. Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations. Perform tank maintenance on spare tanks in preparationofinstallation.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year job related (Propane) experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker & Hazmat endorsements preferred
• Up-to-date DOT medical certification
• Willingness to rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed.
