Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is hiring a Propane Specialist in the United States. The role focuses on safe, timely propane delivery, loading and unloading, and exceptional customer service.

Expect to follow strict safety standards and perform regular vehicle inspections while coordinating with dispatch for routing. The position requires CDL Class A or B, Hazmat endorsements preferred, and a willingness to rotate on-call status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year propane experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B.
• Tanker & Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Clean drivers abstract.
• Up-to-date DOT medical certification.
• Willingness to rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. No visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks, and/or cylinders) for customers; initiate asset verification and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Leverage technology to monitor propane inventory, tank levels, and container sizing; record and print delivery tickets; complete daily driver reports.
• Maintain equipment to high safety standards; perform pre/post vehicle inspections and site inspections.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing; report issues to obtain guidance for resolution.
• Provide propane tank installations, identify leaks, respond to emergencies, and perform tank maintenance on spare tanks.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

The Propane Specialist is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Specialist will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Propane Specialist are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks, and/or cylinders) for customers. Initiate and conduct the asset verification process. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable, document pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the Dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Provide Propane tank installations in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all state/local codes and safety policies. Identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection. Respond to customer emergencies as needed. Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations. Perform tank maintenance on spare tanks in preparation of installation.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
