Job summary

Pinnacle Propane is hiring a propane service technician to deliver propane safely to residential and commercial customers. You will perform daily vehicle inspections, load propane, and ensure compliance with DOT, Hazmat, and safety regulations, while documenting work orders and maintaining equipment.

You will educate customers on safe usage, assist in emergency calls, and uphold Pinnacle Propane’s safety and reliability commitments. Requires valid CDL with Tanker Endorsement and Hazmat readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL with Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain within set timelines.
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within set timelines.
• Strong reading/writing/speaking English for safety and documentation.
• Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, set, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and remove propane tanks and related equipment.
• Install service lines per NFPA standards and regulations.
• Perform gas leak tests, pressure tests, and safety inspections.
• Diagnose and repair propane appliances and equipment.
• Install, replace, and adjust propane appliances and regulators.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on customer systems.
• Ensure installations meet codes and safety standards.
• Respond to emergency service calls following safety procedures.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely to perform service work.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment, and inventory.
• Complete electronic work orders and documentation accurately.
• Educate customers on safe propane usage and system maintenance.
• Maintain professional communication and customer service.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA and DOT regulations, and industry standards.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations.
• Communicate safety concerns to management promptly.
• Lift and move propane equipment up to 75 pounds; team lifts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
