Job summary

Pinnacle Propane is seeking a Service Technician to safely deliver propane to residential and commercial customers, conduct vehicle inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT, Hazmat, and safety regulations. The role emphasizes clear communication, safety, and reliable service.

The technician will maintain equipment and vehicles, complete electronic work orders, and respond to emergencies while supporting customer satisfaction and following company policies. Reports to Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum one year of propane service, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, utility, or related field experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within company-established timeframes.
• Ability to pass all DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, set, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and remove propane tanks, cylinders, regulators, piping, and related propane equipment.
• Install underground and above-ground propane service lines to various customers in accordance with NFPA 54/58, DOT, and local regulations.
• Perform gas leak tests, pressure tests, and safety inspections before placing systems into service.
• Diagnose and repair propane appliances and equipment, including water heaters and furnaces.
• Educate customers on safe propane usage and system maintenance.
• Maintain professional and courteous communication while delivering exceptional customer service.
