Job summary

Tiger Fuel Company is seeking a Propane Service Technician to join our team and provide top-notch service to our customers in the Fredericksburg, VA area. You will install, repair, and maintain propane distribution systems, troubleshoot propane appliances, and ensure safety and compliance in every task.

• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting propane operated appliances.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; strong mechanical inclination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and maintains propane distribution systems for retail customers.
• Provides emergency response and system installation and testing.
• Offers exceptional customer service by providing information and answering inquiries.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment or maintenance.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and vehicle.
• Prepares and maintains records per regulations and procedures.
• Operates vehicle safely and follows established procedures.
• Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads propane equipment.

Description

We're looking for an outstanding individual to join our team and contribute to the company's legacy of service and safety as a Propane Service Technician. This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused, mechanically inclined person. Propane service technicians are hands on! You'll be doing everything from setting tanks and running lines, to fine-tuning propane appliances and equipment. You'll get to work independently, with other Tiger teammates, with contractors, and most importantly, our amazing customers. Every day is different as you get to work with a wide variety of equipment and people.

Job Duties:

• Installs, repairs and maintains propane distribution systems for retail customers.
• Responsible for providing emergency response and system installation and testing.
• Provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries during daily interactions.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and vehicle by keeping tools, equipment and materials in proper places
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates vehicle in accordance to established safety procedures.
• Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads propane equipment to and from specified destinations.
• Requires on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ideally 2 or more years of experience with installation and repair of propane-based heating systems, equipment and appliances
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and maintaining propane operated appliances
• Clean driving record
• Drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check required
