Job summary

Tiger Fuel Company is seeking a Propane Service Technician with CDL to install, repair and maintain propane systems for our customers. You will work with propane equipment, perform deliveries, and respond to emergencies, while upholding safety standards and excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, a clean driving record, and 2+ years of propane experience. On-call rotations after hours and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of propane-based heating system installation/repair experience.
• Experience troubleshooting propane appliances.
• Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Clean driving record; pre-employment checks required.
• On-call rotation for after-hours and weekend deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain propane distribution systems for retail customers.
• Deliver tanks using flatbed truck with CDL.
• Provide emergency response and test systems.
• Inform customers and answer inquiries during daily interactions.
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of maintenance.
• Keep work area and vehicle clean and organized.
• Maintain records per regulations and procedures.
• Operate vehicle according to safety procedures.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload propane equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours/weekends.

Tiger is looking for an outstanding individual to join our team and contribute to the company's legacy of service and safety as a Propane Service Technician with CDL (Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements). This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused, mechanically inclined person. Propane service technicians are hands on! You'll be doing everything from setting tanks and running lines, to fine-tuning propane appliances and equipment. You'll get to work independently, with other Tiger teammates, with contractors, and most importantly, our amazing customers. Every day is different as you get to work with a wide variety of equipment and people.

A Class B CDL, or intent to obtain a CDL, is a requirement for this exciting opportunity with Tiger.

Job Duties:

• Installs, repairs and maintains propane distribution systems for retail customers.
• Tank deliveries utilizing flatbed truck with CDL requirement
• Responsible for providing emergency response and system installation and testing.
• Provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries during daily interactions.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and vehicle by keeping tools, equipment and materials in proper places
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates vehicle in accordance to established safety procedures.
• Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads propane equipment to and from specified destinations.
• Requires on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ideally 2 or more years of experience with installation and repair of propane-based heating systems, equipment and appliances
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and maintaining propane operated appliances
• Class B CDL license with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check required and pre-employment physical.
