Job summary

Tiger Fuel Company is seeking a Propane Service Technician with CDL to join our team in Virginia. You will install, repair and maintain propane systems for retail customers, perform tank deliveries, and provide emergency response with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Ideal candidates hold a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, have 2+ years of propane experience, and maintain a clean driving record. The role includes on-call rotations and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ideally 2+ years of experience with installation and repair of propane heating systems, equipment and appliances.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting propane operated appliances.
• Class B CDL license with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Clean driving record; drug screen, background and pre-employment physical.
• Pre-employment physical required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and maintains propane distribution systems for retail customers.
• Tank deliveries utilizing flatbed truck with CDL requirement.
• Responds to emergencies and conducts system installation and testing.
• Provides exceptional customer service by sharing information and answering inquiries.
• Inspects vehicle and reports equipment needs to supervisor.
• Keeps tools and materials organized and maintains a clean work area and vehicle.
• Maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates the vehicle safely according to established procedures.
• Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads propane equipment.
• On-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.

Tiger is looking for an outstanding individual to join our team and contribute to the company's legacy of service and safety as a Propane Service Technician with CDL (Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements). This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused, mechanically inclined person. Propane service technicians are hands on! You'll be doing everything from setting tanks and running lines, to fine-tuning propane appliances and equipment. You'll get to work independently, with other Tiger teammates, with contractors, and most importantly, our amazing customers. Every day is different as you get to work with a wide variety of equipment and people.

A Class B CDL, or intent to obtain a CDL, is a requirement for this exciting opportunity with Tiger.

Job Duties:

• Installs, repairs and maintains propane distribution systems for retail customers.
• Tank deliveries utilizing flatbed truck with CDL requirement
• Responsible for providing emergency response and system installation and testing.
• Provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries during daily interactions.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and vehicle by keeping tools, equipment and materials in proper places
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates vehicle in accordance to established safety procedures.
• Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads propane equipment to and from specified destinations.
• Requires on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
