Townsend Energy in Manchester, NH is seeking a Propane Service Technician and Delivery professional. The role focuses on service/maintenance of residential propane HVAC systems, fuel deliveries, and safe operation of the delivery vehicle. A CDL-B, Hazmat endorsements, and propane experience are preferred.

The position offers a take-home vehicle, gas card, and training opportunities, with cross-training in gas/oil/propane and HVAC. Candidate must pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Propane Service / HVAC experience.
• Propane License required.
• 1 year propane delivery experience.
• CDL with minimum B required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• DOT physical clearance required.
• Ability to use onboard GPS and smartphone apps.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain residential Propane HVAC systems.
• Handle Propane, heating and cooling systems, boilers and heat pumps.
• Load and unload fuel truck for delivery.
• Deliver fuel safely to correct addresses.
• Follow routes and time schedules.
• Comply with DOT safety standards.
• Interact with customers professionally.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections via tablet.

Job description

Propane Service Technician and Delivery | $32.00 to $45.00 + per hour, depending on experience

Work Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm | Monday through Friday

Job Duties:

• Service and maintenance on residential Propane HVAC systems
• Propane and electric heating/air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless systems, and boilers
• Loading and unloading fuel truck for delivery
• Making fuel deliveries in a safe and efficient manner to correct addresses
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Interreacting with customers and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
• Conduct pre and post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment
• Daily use of tablet

Qualifications:

• Propane Service / HVAC experience
• Propane License
• 1 year of propane delivery experience
• Valid CDL (minimum B)
• Tanker, Air Brake, and Hazmat Endorsements
• CDL A & B preferred
• Pass DOT physical
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
• Previous experience with data entry skills to input data on a tablet preferred
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records
• Maintaining a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
