Job summary

Tow nsend Energy in Danvers, MA, is hiring a Propane Service Technician and Delivery. The role involves servicing residential Propane HVAC systems, performing fuel deliveries, and following safety and DOT guidelines. You will interact with customers and must maintain accurate vehicle and tablet records.

Take-home vehicle with gas card, company uniforms, and cross-training opportunities are offered. The position aligns with a standard 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday schedule and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Propane service/HVAC experience required.
• Propane license required.
• 1 year propane delivery experience preferred.
• CDL (minimum B) required with endorsements listed.
• DOT physical and driving record must meet criteria.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain residential Propane HVAC systems.
• Handle propane deliveries to specified addresses.
• Load/unload fuel from truck; follow routes and schedule.
• Adhere to DOT safety standards and regulations.
• Interact with customers and coworkers professionally.

Job description

Propane Service Technician and Delivery | $32.00 to $45.00 + per hour, depending on experience

Work Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm | Monday through Friday

Job Duties:

• Service and maintenance on residential Propane HVAC systems
• Propane and electric heating/air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless systems, and boilers
• Loading and unloading fuel truck for delivery
• Making fuel deliveries in a safe and efficient manner to correct addresses
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Interreacting with customers and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
• Conduct pre and post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment
• Daily use of tablet

Qualifications:

• Propane Service / HVAC experience
• Propane License
• 1 year of propane delivery experience
• Valid CDL (minimum B)
• Tanker, Air Brake, and Hazmat Endorsements
• CDL A & B preferred
• Pass DOT physical
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
• Previous experience with data entry skills to input data on a tablet preferred
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records
• Maintaining a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
