Job summary

EDPO Brand is hiring a propane service technician in the United States to install propane tanks and related equipment, following NFPA standards and state regulations. The role requires a Class A or B CDL, tanker and hazmat endorsements, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

You will complete service orders, perform vehicle inspections, and participate in on-call rotations. Training is provided to obtain required licenses and certifications, with onboarding focused on safety, installation methods,

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Install propane tanks and equipment per NFPA 58/54 and state/local regs.
• Complete required licensing, certifications, training.
• Perform daily DVIRs and keep truck in good condition.
• Finish accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing.
• Provide seasonal delivery support with delivery vehicle when needed.
• Report incidents or safety concerns to General Manager.
• Work in varied outdoor conditions and participate in on-call rotation.

Job description

• Install propane tanks and related equipment in full compliance with NFPA 58/54 and all state/local regulations.
• Complete any required state licensing, certifications, and ongoing training.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (DVIR) and maintain your truck in excellent working condition.
• Complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing each day.
• Provide seasonal delivery support by operating a delivery vehicle when needed.
• Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately to the General Manager.
• Work in varied outdoor conditions and participate in an on‑call rotation as business needs require.

What To Expect In Your First 30 Days

• Shadow a senior technician to learn our safety standards, installation methods, and customer service expectations.
• Complete onboarding training for CDL endorsements, propane safety, and state-specific compliance requirements.
• Begin performing supervised tank installations and equipment servicing to build proficiency with EDP processes.
• Learn our service order and documentation systems to complete work independently and accurately.

Must Haves

• Class A OR B CDL
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

TSA Clearance Approved Hazardous Materials

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and participate in after-hours on‑call rotation

Nice to Haves

• 2–3 years of experience in propane, HVAC, or related technical work
• Familiarity with propane systems, NFPA standards, and industry regulations
• Technical aptitude and willingness to learn propane installation practices
• Strong customer communication and professional presence
• Basic computer skills for service orders and documentation

Pay Rate for this role is $23-28 hourly (depending on experience)
