Job summary

Ed Staub & Sons Petroleum, Inc is seeking a Propane Service Technician to deliver skilled service to propane customers in Hermiston and surrounding areas. You will test pipelines, dismantle meters, and install/repair propane systems while maintaining safety and regulatory records.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements. On-site work with competitive pay, benefits, and possible relocation assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires Class A or B CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements.
• Propane service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Tests and examines pipelines and equipment to locate leaks and determine pressure and flow of gas.
• Dismantles meters and regulators, replaces defective pipes and components.
• Prepare and present installation and repair estimates.
• Install and maintain propane appliances and heating equipment.
• Provide emergency response on call when needed.
• Hook up propane tanks and perform change-outs.
• Complete system re-piping and conversion tasks.
• Perform pump outs and gas checks.
• Maintain accurate records per regulations and company procedures.
• Occasionally perform propane/fuel deliveries.
• Maintain parts inventory and measure, cut, thread pipes for connections.

Propane Service Technician

Ed Staub and Sons Petroleum, Inc is looking for a Service Technician to provide service to our Propane customers in Hermiston and outlying areas.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Tests and examines pipelines and equipment to locate leaks and faulty pipe connections and to determine pressure and flow of gas.
• Dismantles meters and regulators, and replaces defective pipes, thermocouples, thermostats, valves, and indicator spindles.
• Prepare and present estimate for installation and repair
• Installs repairs and maintains propane appliances
• Responsible for providing emergency response – on call
• Propane tank hook up and change out
• Heating equipment service and repair
• System re-piping and conversion
• Performs pump outs
• Perms tune ups and gas checks
• Provide professional and courteous customer service
• Maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures
• Occasional propane/fuel delivery
• Maintain accurate parts inventory
• Measures, cuts, and threads pipe and connect it to feeder line and equipment or appliance.

The successful applicant will have a Class A or B CDL License and able to get Hazmat,Tanker andAir Brake Endorsement. Must be able to pass an MVR check Drug Screening, and Background verification. Propane Service Tech experience is preferred but not necessary.
