Liberty Propane in Ottsville, PA is hiring a Propane Service Technician to install and maintain propane systems, serve customers, and support deliveries as needed. You will ensure safety, comply with regulations, and document work with accuracy in a fast-paced field role.

The position requires a Class B CDL with Tanker/Hazmat endorsements, 2–3 years in propane/HVAC, and strong communication skills. A path for professional growth and a supportive culture are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install propane systems per NFPA 58/54 and local requirements.
• Complete required state licenses and certifications as applicable.
• Report incidents/ accidents to General Manager.
• Maintain a Class B CDL with Tanker/Hazmat endorsements as needed.
• Assist with deliveries during seasonal periods.
• Complete service orders daily and document work performed.
• Perform daily DVIR inspections on the truck.
• Document and bill for parts used and follow pricing proposals.
• Work on-call when needed outside regular hours.

As a Propane Service Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping homes, farms, and businesses running safely and efficiently. From installing and maintaining propane systems to providing outstanding customer service, you'll be the trusted expert our customers rely on every day. Responsibilities:

• Install tanks adhering to all state and local requirements including NFPA 58 and 54.
• If applicable, complete training and testing for all required state licenses and certifications.
• Immediately report all incidents and accidents to the General Manager.
• Maintain a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements as required.
• Seasonal Support: Assist with deliveries by driving a delivery vehicle, as necessary.
• Accurately complete and submit service orders daily.
• Perform daily inspections (DVIR) of the truck, maintaining it in excellent working condition.
• Accurately document and bill for all parts used, following sales proposals for pricing.
• Frequent bending, squatting, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment or materials (up to 75 pounds).
• This role includes on-call responsibilities, as the needs of the company require that you work past your regular departure time or otherwise outside of your regular work hours
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training and experience.
• Basic understanding of computer concepts and usage
• 2-3 years of experience in propane, HVAC, or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with propane systems, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn propane systems and installation practices.
• Excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments and weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills for completing service orders and maintaining documentation.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

• Class B CDL License

Pay Rate for this role is $28-33 hourly (depending on experience)
