Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our Kennebunk, ME service center. Responsibilities include propane service, tank installation, leak detection, and customer emergency response, with on-call rotations for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, CDL Class A/B (or willingness to obtain), and a Maine Propane & Natural Gas Technician License. 2–3 years in propane/oil/HVAC is preferred; Hazmat/Tanker endorsement is a plus.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B or willingness to obtain within first year of employment.
• 2-3 years propane/oil/HVAC service preferred.
• Hazmat/Tanker endorsement preferred.
• Maine Propane & Natural Gas Technician License required.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Identify and repair leaks from tanks to equipment connections.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Perform tank maintenance and prep spare tanks for service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Cross-train to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
• Communicate proactively with Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join the team at the Kennebunk, ME customer service center. What You'll Do:

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Able to identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed
• Rotate on call status during evenings and weekends as needed
• Perform tank maintenance spare tanks located in the plants in preparation for putting them in service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Will be cross-trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed
• Consistently communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary

What you bring:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• CDL Class A or B or willingness to obtain within first year of employment in the position
• 2-3 years propane/oil/HVAC service preferred
• Hazmat/ Tanker endorsement preferred
• Maine Propane & Natural Gas Technician License required

The hourly rate for this position is $28.00 - $35.00 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met. When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend. This position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.
