Job summary

Superior Plus Propane, based in Brunswick, ME, is seeking an experienced Service Technician for our customer service center. The role involves propane service, tank installation, and responding to emergencies, with on-call rotation in evenings and weekends.

A CDL and Hazmat endorsement are preferred, along with relevant propane/oil/HVAC experience. The position offers an hourly rate of $28.00–$35.00, potential overtime, and eligibility for incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or B and willingness to obtain within first year.
• 2–3 years propane/oil/HVAC service experience preferred.
• Hazmat & Tanker endorsement preferred.
• Maine Propane & Natural Gas Technician License required/preferred.
• Journeyman Oil or Master license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Identify and correct leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Perform tank maintenance on spare tanks located in plants.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Cross-trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed.
• Communicate proactively with Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join the team at the Brunswick, ME customer service center. The hourly rate for this position is $28.00 - $35.00 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.

When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

This position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• CDL Class A or B or willingness to obtain within first year of employment in the position
• 2-3 years propane/oil/HVAC service preferred
• Hazmat & Tanker endorsement preferred
• Maine Propane & Natural Gas Technician License
• Journeymen Oil or Master is preferred
