Job summary

Central Farm Service in Minnesota City is seeking a team member to install, inspect and service propane tanks, equipment and systems while delivering outstanding customer service. You will ensure safety, educate customers on propane use, complete invoices, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and support propane delivery operations.

• One year relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Maintain a valid CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements. Air brake endorsement with class B CDL.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Position Objective

In this job, the team member will install, inspect and service propane tanks, equipment and systems and provide outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and service customer propane tanks equipment and systems following all codes of standards and regulations.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on the safe use of propane and appliances.
• Accurately complete all invoices and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Make routine sales calls
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor.
• Maintain equipment in operational and cleanly appearances at all times.
• Assist with other operations – propane delivery
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations
• Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.
• Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision
• Perform other duties and projects as requested by supervisor or management

Requirements

Working Environment

Will be subject to outside weather conditions that include but are not limited to heat, cold, humid conditions, dry conditions, rain and snow.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to climb ladders and stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, work around moving equipment and be on feet and moving for extended periods of time. Frequent use of arms and legs to lift, push pull and otherwise move weights of 50-80 pounds. Some tasks will require good finger and manual dexterity.

Salary Description

$55,000 - $65,000 Annual
