Job summary

CFS is seeking a dependable team member in Minnesota to deliver propane and install/inspect customer propane systems. You will ensure safe, accurate deliveries, complete invoicing, and uphold high customer service standards.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, adherence to DOT regulations, and educating customers on safe propane usage. A valid CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements is required, with strong independent work and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• One year relevant experience or equivalent education/experience
• Must maintain CDL hazmat and tanker endorsements and air brake endorsement
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane and related products to customers safely and efficiently
• Complete invoices and paperwork promptly
• Educate customers on safe use of propane and appliances
• Install, inspect and service propane tanks, equipment and systems
• Follow all DOT/state regulations and maintain CSA scores
• Maintain professional appearance and customer relations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance

Job description

Position Objective

In this job, the team member will provide accurate and efficient delivery of propane and install, inspect and service propane tanks, equipment and systems and provide outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Accurately deliver propane and other related products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Accurately complete all invoices and related paper work in a timely manner
• Ensure deliveries are performed in such a manner as to maintain good customer relations
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations and strive for excellent Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) scores
• Install, inspect and service customer propane tanks equipment and systems following all codes of standards and regulations.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on the safe use of propane and appliances.
• Accurately complete all invoices and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor.
• Maintain equipment in operational and cleanly appearances at all times.
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations
• Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.
• Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision
• Perform other duties and projects as requested by supervisor or management

Licensing, Certification and Qualification

• One year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self- motivated/self -directed.
• Ability to make independent judgments, which have moderate impacts on the organization.
• Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Maintain a valid CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements. Maintain air brake endorsement with class A CDL.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Working Environment

Will be subject to outside weather conditions that include but are not limited to heat, cold, humid conditions, dry conditions, rain and snow.

Physical Demands

Able to sit, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. Ability to lift minimum of 20 pounds and greater on a consistent basis.
