Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in Newark, DE is seeking a Propane Service Manager to lead safe installation, maintenance, and repair of propane systems at Sharp customer locations. The role requires strong technical know-how and people leadership to ensure safety and quality of work.

You will train technicians, verify credentials, coordinate field service, manage inventories, and interact with customers on scheduling and billing while upholding code compliance and company standards.

Qualifications

• Five years' propane or related experience required.
• Demonstrated experience installing, repairing, maintaining propane systems and appliances.
• CDL Class B HazMat or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Trains field technicians to install, repair, and maintain propane systems.
• Ensures credentials for technicians and safety compliance.
• Coordinates service work and monitors work orders.
• Manages parts, inventories, and just-in-time purchases.
• Communicates with customers about service, scheduling, and invoicing.
• Reviews payroll items for direct reports.
• Evaluates open/completed work orders for accuracy and efficiency.
• Inspects completed jobs for code compliance and quality.
• Develops relationships with third party contractors.
