Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Propane Service Technician I to install, maintain, and repair propane systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. You will troubleshoot propane appliances, ensure safety standards, and keep accurate service records.

Work includes installing gas service, sizing lines, operating a service truck crane, connecting appliances, and on-call emergency responses. A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker and strong customer service are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain.
• Experience in propane preferred.
• General mechanical aptitude (hand tools).
• Basic computer skills and ability to document work.

Responsibilities

• Performs installations for gas service and sets tanks in accordance with codes.
• Connects/disconnects gas service and sizes/install gas lines as needed.
• Operates service truck crane safely to install/remove tanks.
• Performs tank maintenance, leak tests, and repairs.
• Documents materials used and time expended on work orders.
• Responds to emergency service calls and participates in on-call rotation.
• Maintains inventory records of company assets.
