Job summary

DCC Propane, LLC is seeking an Operations Area Manager to support Field Managers and area teams, drive operational efficiencies, and ensure exceptional customer service. You will lead safety compliance, optimize logistics, and oversee HR activities, recruiting, and performance reviews.

The role emphasizes a hands-on leadership style, budget oversight, and collaboration with regional leadership to sustain growth and profitability across the assigned area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent management experience.
• 5+ years in propane distribution or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a management role.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• CDL Class B license required.
• Ability to lead and develop teams.
• Logistics and inventory management knowledge.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and maintain operations within your assigned area.
• Meet financial goals by managing area business operations.
• Collaborate with Regional Director to analyze P&L and optimize margins.
• Oversee delivery routing and service schedules.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain timely management reporting and documentation.
• Safeguard company and customer equipment and property.
• Lead HR activities such as hiring, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Recruit, interview, train, and supervise Field Managers and Customer Care Supervisors.
• Promote a positive work environment and strong team morale.
• Handle customer inquiries and drive high customer satisfaction.
• Develop and manage the area's budget and monitor expenses.
