Job summary

Heller’s Gas seeks a Delivery Technician to transport propane to customers, perform leak tests, and ensure safe operation of company vehicles. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting propane tanks, supply systems, and gas appliances with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Candidates must hold a valid Class B CDL with tanker, air brake, and hazmat endorsements; pass background checks and drug tests; and be comfortable working outdoors with varying hours.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED required for entry.
• Valid Class B CDL with tanker, air brake, and hazmat endorsements.
• Background check and pre-employment/random drug testing are required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer propane from bulk storage to truck and from truck to customer tanks.
• Verify tank information on delivery including serial number.
• Perform visual inspections and report issues.
• Monitor truck tank levels to ensure adequate supply.
• Ensure vehicle is stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
• Educate customers on safe operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Understand applicable laws and regulations for installation and maintenance.
