Job summary

Heller's Gas, Inc. is seeking a delivery technician to safely transport propane and perform installation, maintenance and diagnostic work on propane systems and appliances. You will conduct leak tests, ensure proper vehicle operation, and advise customers on safe handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Relevant experience preferred.
• Familiarity with computers or mobile devices used in service.
• Have a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker, air brake, and hazmat endorsements.
• Employment is conditional on clean driving record, background checks, and pre-employment/random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Transfer propane from bulk storage to truck and to customer tanks.
• Verify tank information upon delivery including serial numbers.
• Perform visual inspection of equipment and report issues.
• Monitor truck tank levels to ensure adequate supply.
• Maintain vehicles and supplies in clean, mechanical condition.
• Educate customers on safe operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Inspect company vehicle daily and report issues promptly.
• Understand applicable laws and codes for installation and maintenance of tanks and piping.
• Prepare work orders, invoices and related documentation.
• Install and remove propane tanks and gas-powered appliances.
