Job summary

Central Farm Service is hiring a propane delivery and service technician to provide safe, accurate propane deliveries, install and service tanks and equipment, and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain safe driving practices under CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements, and educate customers on propane safety while upholding company safety policies.

Qualifications

• One year relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self- motivated/self -directed.
• Ability to make independent judgments, which have moderate impacts on the organization.
• Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Maintain a valid CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements. Maintain air brake endorsement with class A CDL.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Accurately deliver propane and other related products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Accurately complete all invoices and related paper work in a timely manner
• Ensure deliveries are performed in such a manner as to maintain good customer relations
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations and strive for excellent CSA scores
• Install, inspect and service customer propane tanks equipment and systems following all codes of standards and regulations.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on the safe use of propane and appliances.
• Accurately complete all invoices and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor.
• Maintain equipment in operational and cleanly appearances at all times.
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations
• Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.
• Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision
• Perform other duties and projects as requested by supervisor or management
