Job summary

The Energy Cooperative in Nashport, OH is hiring a Propane Driver / Service Technician. This role delivers propane and provides service at member locations, performing inspections and tank installations while following safety standards. It requires a Class B CDL, propane certifications, and the ability to work after hours during emergencies.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of related experience, read gas codes, and operate with minimal supervision in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2–3 years related experience or training.
• Valid Class B CDL with good driving record.
• Hazardous materials, tanker and air brakes endorsements required or obtainable.
• Certification in propane system installation, operation and service preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret gas codes and industry standards.
• Able to work with limited supervision and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace propane storage tanks, lines, regulators, and meters at member locations.
• Deliver propane and propane accessories to members.
• Perform gas leak and appliance inspections.
• Conduct line leak testing with propane industry equipment.
• Respond to emergency calls including after hours and weekends.
• Prepare documentation on installations, checks, repairs and inspections.
